22nd October 2008
I had a fabulous time last night in the Thistle Tavern in Dunfermline. The club was pretty busy and the folk were very friendly. I was a bit worried about this gig because I've had a terrible cold for the past two weeks, but my voice just about made it through.
We played my two new songs, Wrong Direction and Still as part of the set. They seemed to go down pretty well, which was great.
Thanks go to Stevie and Gerry for holding everything together and for playing so well, to Martin for the anti-cough sound, to Gifford and Jeanie for inviting us along and to everyone else who came for the craic. I hope you enjoyed it. Particular thanks to Caroline for her continued support, to Jackie and Chris for coming in spite of getting lost three times on the way and to all those who bought an album. I hope you enjoy the music.
We're now looking forward to Sunday's show in Edinburgh. I just hope my throat feels better by then because I won't have a microphone to help me this time!
Best wishes
